Mohammed commended the administration of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for delivering on key infrastructural projects that have significantly impacted the state’s development. He said the President’s visit to commission completed capital projects is a strong endorsement of Governor Sule’s transformative leadership.
According to him, the initiative aims to cushion the hardship faced by the families of personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
He noted that the outcome of the fifth Forum meeting in Maiduguri was built on the pillars of security, cooperation, humanitarian response, sustainable development, and climate resilience, underscoring our collective resolve to move from declarations to delivery.Â
He however commended the progress made so far in Nigeria, particularly on children’s budget and Inclusion in national development.
The combined 21.8 km projects were cited in Maisandari, Umarari, Ngarannam and Gwange, all in the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
He emphasised that the state government will maintain close collaboration with the Federal Government, the Armed Forces, and other security agencies to achieve sustainable peace.
The arrears cover the eight-month period from July 2024 to February 2025, totaling ₦352,000 per corps member.
He expressed pride that the ambitious highway begins in Lagos, noting that the state is fully prepared to maximize the benefits of the project.
He emphasised that the government will no longer compensate developers who fail to observe legal building setbacks and approvals, stressing the need for urban planning and the rule of law.
