Sanwo-Olu hails Tinubu over commissioning of Lagos-Calabar coastal highway

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the successful commissioning of the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
In a statement on his X handle on Sunday, Sanwo-Olu described the project as a transformative step for Nigeria’s infrastructure, praising its potential to boost economic activities, create jobs, and connect coastal communities.
He expressed pride that the ambitious highway begins in Lagos, noting that the state is fully prepared to maximize the benefits of the project.
The statement reads: “I want to sincerely congratulate HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the commissioning of the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
“This road is a major step forward for Nigeria. It connects communities, opens up jobs, boosts trade, and brings real development to our coastal states.
“As Governor and a proud Lagosian, I’m especially honored that this historic journey begins here in our state. We’re ready to make the most of it.
“Congratulations, Mr. President. Thank you for pushing forward with this vision. It’s a big step, and we’re proud to see it take shape.”
