In every community-driven vision, there is always that one person who recognizes the potential before the rest of the world sees it. For me and Gomari Youths initiative , that person is Sadiq Muazu.

During the early days of building Gomari Youth Initiative, I was completely immersed in thought struggling to structure our programs, define our objectives, and determine how to officially register the initiative.

It was in the midst of that overwhelming moment that I received a call from Abubakar Sadiq Muazu .

He asked me about the status of Gomari Youth Initiative and we had a heartfelt conversation about the importance of community-based youth empowerment.

I explained my vision, and without hesitation, Sadiq donated a substantial amount of money to support the registration process.

Immediately after receiving his generous donation, I proceeded to officially register the organization under the name Gomari Youth Initiative. That moment marked a significant turning point not just in formalizing the initiative, but in energizing my drive and commitment.

Since then, Sadiq has remained a strong and reliable pillar of support for Gomari Youth. He was the first person to invite us to attend a capacity-building training on budget tracking, which later opened greater doors of opportunity for me, including becoming a Fellow the Money Champion program under CODE.

His unwavering support has continued up to today. Through his organization, Sadiq has consistently provided resources and platforms for our growth. Just recently, one of our active members and Deputy Coordinator Aishatu Ibrahim Kida of Gomari Youth Initiative was selected to attend a Boot Camp in Abuja, organized by ActionAid Nigeria under the SPAII Project another opportunity made possible through Sadiq’s continued advocacy and support.
