Boko Haram kills 40 in multiple attacks

Suspected to be Boko-Haram terrorists and its arc rival Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) have killed at least 40 people in multiple attacks in the less than 24 hours in Borno State.
On Monday, 28 April, the IEDs explosion planted by the terrorists destroyed a vehicle carrying passengers in Kala-Balge LGA, claiming the lives of 26 people and a dozen wounded.
While Boko-Haram terrorists killed no fewer than 14 mouners were killed when suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists attacked a community in Chibok Local Government Area in the southern part of Borno State, on Monday evening, sources said.
Correspondent gathered that the terrorists rode on utility vehicles to storms the remote village of Kwaple, a some of five kilometres away from Chibok town, headquarters of chibok council of the State shooting sporadically killing at least 14 persons and others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
According to Civilian JTF, who disclosed that the invaders rents the air with bullets forcing the mourners to flee into nearby busses, raze down a church and six houses and carted away foodstuffs.
He said, “They came around 6 p.m. on Monday, targeting villagers gathered for the funeral rites of a community member. They operated for almost two hours, they killed 14 mourners and several others are currently missing after the attacks.
He added, “The terrorists burnt down shops, houses and a church, three herd of cows equally shot dead. They went away with our foodstuffs,”cjtf source said.
Hon. Modu Mustapha, Chairman of Chibok Local Government Area, also confirmed the incident to newsmen, “They burned the EYN church and houses. The terrorists attacked during a funeral, a lot of people were killed.” he stated.
Similarly, there was an explosion along Maiduguri-Damboa highway reportedly killing soldiers and several other wounded, including children, on Tuesday at about 9:50am.
A member of civilians jtf who is assisting the military said some soldiers died in the landmines explosion on Tuesday.
