For Bomai, accolades for impactful empowerment initiatives
By Ibrahim Baba Saleh
From what appears to us ,Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai of Yobe South is gaining recognition for his impactful empowerment initiatives, particularly among the youthful population— His recent empowerment program, which provides 1 million naira in capital to beneficiaries, is a game-changer for the youthful population, aiming to reduce poverty and unemployment.
This substantial funding is the first of its kind in the state in terms of individual allocations by any lawmaker.
It will equally make a big difference towards improving the well-being of the beneficiaries—whether a farmer or a small business owner – one million is good starting point for investment in Nigeria.
Building on this momentum— Sen Bomai has keyed into yet another unprecedented initiative on education through foreign scholarships meant for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, the target beneficiaries are sons and daughters of the less privileged who may possess all the academic requirements but hinder by financial constraints to advance their studies abroad — Now it is their turn as Sen Bomai is providing with them a full package scholarship.

The scholarship program will be supervised by reputable academics who know the rudiments of higher education better, and proven to be capable of handling the job to the best of their merits.
In addition to these initiatives, Senator Bomai has allocated over N44 million to support party officials across 44 wards in his constituency. His recent Ramadan palliative distribution of rice to all polling units in the four Local Government Areas he represents further also commitment to his constituents welfare.
While some may question the political motivations behind Senator Bomai’s actions, it is undeniable that he is now making a tangible difference in the lives of his constituents. We pray this will continue to touch as many lives as possible up to the end of his tenure in the Senate.
As someone who has voted for him in the past two elections but later became disenchanted, I must acknowledge that Senator Bomai’s recent efforts have restored a sense of pride in his leadership.
However, this appreciation is not meant to be a campaign endorsement ahead of 2027 but rather a genuine acknowledgment of his accomplishments.
