Gov Zulum assures corps members of improved welfare
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state.
The governor made the pledge during the closing ceremony of the Batch C, Stream II orientation program, held at the temporary orientation camp at the Mustapha El-Kanemi As Arabi College, Maiduguri.
Representing Governor Zulum at the event, Dr. Peter Solomon, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Planning, congratulated the corps members on the successful completion of their three-week orientation program.
He assured the corps members of the government’s unwavering support, including the prompt payment of state allowances and the provision of a conducive environment for their service.
Solomon urged the corps members to remain committed to their assigned duties and contribute positively to the communities where they are posted to
In his remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mohammed Adamu Jiya, commended Governor Zulum for his consistent support of the NYSC scheme.
He also praised government officials for their dedication to ensuring the program’s success.
He advised corps members to prioritize their safety by avoiding late-night outings and accepting car rides from strangers. .
