Pray for Peace in Nigeria’s Fintiri Urges Adamawa Christian Pilgrims
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has urged the state’s pilgrims embarking on the Holy Land pilgrimage to pray for an end to insecurity in Nigeria.
Receiving the National Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christians Pilgrims Commission, Bishop Stephen Victor Adegbite Tunde, at the Government House in Yola, Governor Fintiri highlighted the significant impact of insecurity on the nation’s development.
“It is our wish that the Pilgrims will go and pray for Nigeria and Adamawa so that we will continue to see progress and unity. And this year we will see and end most of the challenges we’ve been through as a country particularly the insecurity,” Governor Fintiri said.
He commended President Bola Tinubu for his support of both the Christian and Muslim pilgrimage commissions, highlighting his commitment to religious harmony.
Bishop Adegbite Tunde expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri and President Tinubu for their support of Christian pilgrimage in Adamawa State.
“To the glory of God, the third batch returned yesterday and none is missing when we counted,” Bishop Adegbite Tunde said, emphasizing the safe return of previous pilgrims.
He described this year’s pilgrimage as a “Pilgrimage of Hope and Total Restoration,” expressing optimism that the pilgrims will return with renewed hope for a better future for Nigeria.
