Yobe State University Appoints Professor Bukar Jamri Acting Vice-Chancellor
The Governing Council of Yobe State University has appointed Professor Bukar Jamri as the acting vice-chancellor and Malam Garba Ahmadu Girgir as the acting registrar.
This is contained in a statement released by Hajia Uwani Zainab Mamuda, Director of Information of the university, on Wednesday.
The statement states that the Chairman of the Yobe State University Governing Council, Alhaji Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, Esq., announced the appointments following an extraordinary meeting of the Council.
“Professor Jamri’s appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor will be effective from February 13, 2025, upon the expiration of the current Vice-Chancellor’s (Prof. Mala Mohammed Daura) tenure.” The statement reads.
While Malam Garba Ahmadu Girgir will assume the role of Acting Registrar effective immediately.
These appointments are expected to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the university during this transition period.
