Kebbi Governor Appoints 50 Singers, 15 PLWDs as Special Assistants
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has appointed 50 Hausa singers, comedians and 15 persons with disabilities (PLWDs) as Special Assistants.
The appointments were announced by Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), during a ceremony held at the party office in Birnin Kebbi.
“This gesture signifies the governor’s liberality to give all manner of people a sense of belonging,” Kana-Zuru said, describing Governor Idris as a “man of the people.”
Kana-Zuru advised the appointees to do everything possible to justify the confidence reposed in them by supporting the present administration in the state to deliver the dividends of democracy to its populace.
Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed-BK, in his speech, praised the governor’s decision, highlighting his commitment to inclusivity and human capital development.
“The governor has embarked on different projects that have a direct bearing on the lives of the common people, including the completion of the State Secretariat, expansion of city roads, and the distribution of fertilisers and farm implements to farmers,” Ahmed-BK said.
