Breaking: Yobe Governor Buni Approves Employment of 424 Health Workers
Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved the employment of 424 health professionals to be deployed to various health facilities across the state.
Mamman Mohammed, DG Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Mohammed, the approval includes the employment of 205 nurses and midwives who recently graduated from the state-owned Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Additionally, 219 health technicians with specialities in different fields will be employed to meet the growing healthcare needs of the state.
“The newly employed health workers will be deployed in both rural and urban areas to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare services for all citizens,” Governor Buni stated.
The Governor emphasised that the employment of these health professionals aligns with his administration’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the people of Yobe State.
“I charge all the newly employed workers to be dedicated to their duties and justify the government’s investment in their training and employment,” Governor Buni said.
He further assured that healthcare delivery will remain a top priority for his administration.
“The government will continue to provide our hospitals with the necessary facilities, medical consumables, and qualified personnel to ensure continuous improvement in healthcare delivery across the state,” the Governor added.
