Dangote Slashes Petrol Price to N899 per Litre
Africa’s largest oil refinery, Dangote Petroleum Refinery, has further reduced the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) product to N899.50 per litre.
This new price reduction, announced on Thursday, is set to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the holiday season.
The company had previously lowered the price to N970 per litre on November 24th. This latest move aims to ease transportation costs during the festive period.
In addition to the price reduction, Dangote Petroleum Refinery is offering a special promotion. For every litre of petrol purchased on a cash basis, consumers will receive an additional litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
The refinery’s Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, expressed gratitude for the continued support of Nigerians and reiterated the company’s commitment to providing high-quality, competitively priced petroleum products.
He emphasised that the refinery’s operations mark the end of Nigeria’s reliance on substandard imported products.
With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the Dangote Refinery is fully capable of meeting Nigeria’s domestic fuel needs and has surplus capacity for export.
