Breaking: Road crash claims 2 students, scores injured during graduation jubilation 

A tragic road crash has claimed the lives of two students of Borno State University (BOSU) during a graduation jubilation in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
 
The accident occurred along the Moromti-Njimtilo highway at about 5:20 pm. in Maiduguri on Wednesday evening.
 
According to eyewitness accounts, the ill-fated bus collided with a Dangote truck, resulting in severe injuries to numerous students, many of whom are final-year students. 
 
Emergency responders rushed the critically injured to Umoru Shehu Unltramodern Hospital and some to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
 
BOSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Babagana Gutti, along with other university officials, visited the crash site to oversee the situation and ensure that the injured students receive immediate medical attention.
 
In a statement released on the university’s official Facebook page, the institution confirmed the tragic incident and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life.
 
A senior BOSU staff member, who requested anonymity, confirmed the deaths and the extent of the injuries to our correspondent.
 
“It’s a heartbreaking incident that has shocked the entire BOSU and Borno community,” the staff member said. 

“Many of these students were recent graduates who had just finished their final exams.”
